This sculptural work features three interconnected seats representing the Grandmother, Mother, and Child, symbolizing the intergenerational transmission of traditions, rituals, and trauma. When unoccupied, the structure casts a shadow evoking the presence of ancestral figures.
The piece also serves as a site for the continuation of the hair-braiding tradition—an act rich in cultural and emotional significance, where one sits beneath another in a gesture of care, connection, and heritage
